Rules
- Every building on the campus map starts at $1.
- To take a spot you must beat the current price by at least $1.
- The spot flips the moment you pay. The previous holder automatically gets 90% of what their payment settled at refunded — not 90% of what they typed at checkout, since payment processing always keeps a small cut either way. The remaining 10% (plus that processing cut) is theirs to lose.
- You get a logo, one line of copy and a link, shown on hover and on the building’s page.
- One payment, no subscription. You hold the spot until someone outbids you.
- Anything illegal, hateful or pretending to be the University gets removed and not refunded.
About
A bidding board for Waterloo startups, laid over a real map of campus. Nobody is affiliated with the University of Waterloo. The map is built from OpenStreetMap data and Esri’s public basemap tiles — not the University’s own uwaterloo.ca/map.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. There are no accounts — whoever pays holds the spot, using whatever name and link they gave at checkout.
